Often overlooked as a source for TV lovelies, the casting team at Coronation Street have been quietly hiring some quality Northern lasses to stroll the cobbles of Weatherfield. Sanderson is testament to their commitment to give Gail ‘face like a melted candle’ Platt as little screen time as possible. Having left the Street, Sanderson has been doing the rounds on the celebrity talent shows including Madonna Mania, Discomania, Abba Mania 2, Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes and all-star family fortunes.
Sanderson has also been in Heartbeat and performed on stage in dry as toast feminist propaganda panto, The Vagina Monologues. She can be seen putting her flat cap and pint’s of mild Northern roots to good use in the gritty 1980’s set gangster flick, Clubbed. She also does loads for charity and poses in a bikini a lot, which basically makes her ideal wife material.
